We are excited to announce that GrubMarket has acquired Parsemony, a leading provider of enterprise software for the fresh produce industry based in Alameda, California. This strategic acquisition enhances our software service offerings and extends the capabilities of our existing suite, including WholesaleWare and GrubAssist.
Founded in the late 1980s and originally known as Vintrex Inc., Parsemony, under the leadership of Colin Hare since 2010, has evolved its flagship product, Profitsense, into a robust portfolio of enterprise-wide solutions. These solutions include a cloud-based POS system, custom software engineering tailored to ERP functionalities, and comprehensive IT services that cater specifically to the needs of the food supply chain sector.
Post-acquisition, Parsemony will retain its management team, and its clients will benefit from enhanced software and AI capabilities through GrubMarket’s products like AI Orders and GrubPay. Colin Hare, reflecting on nearly two decades of experience in the sector, expressed enthusiasm about joining forces with GrubMarket to drive technological transformation in the traditionally offline food industry.
Mike Xu, CEO of GrubMarket, remarked on the acquisition’s reinforcement of GrubMarket’s leadership in America’s food supply chain technology landscape and praised Colin’s deep industry expertise. Together, GrubMarket and Parsemony aim to deliver significant value to their customers, facilitating their transition to advanced digital solutions.
We warmly welcome Colin Hare and the entire Parsemony team to GrubMarket, as we continue to innovate and lead in the food industry’s digital transformation.
